BMW alarm system vs. Viper system
None of the Win98 installation files have long filenames, so that should not be a problem. Interlink doesn't allow access to CD-ROM, so copy the Win98 folder from the CD to the desktop's hard drive before you start. Also, in Win95, has anyone tried to associate the *.prc file extension with the Pilot Install App Tool. Would this (or does this) allow for faster installation management. I got a tool called (pinstall?) from Pilotgear that associated itself with .prc files, a double-click on a prc file does the wholeinstallation

Much faster installation and the disks are always present if you ever need to reinstall. Cut's your re-install down by half if you don't have the CD-ROM version. Cable is about 3-5 times the speeds I was getting on DSL, better uptime, faster service when it does crap out, faster installation, tech support folks that can at least find the guy in thier office with a clue, and still come in ~$15 cheaper than the lowest-grade residential ADSL round here. It runs fine under Win '95. Sometimes slower than I would have thought but fine nonetheless (caveat: I'm doing App Devpt with AF, not number crunching). I did not bother to call SI with this one because of my solution (which was a faster installation anyway) and because I expect to have the 6.11 release soon.
